Project OverviewOur team will be competing in 2017 International Environmental Design Contest held at New Mexico State University. We will be entering the Internet of Science and Engineering portion of the contest where we are tasked with building a device that monitors and analyzes the environment and communicates this information to an internet site and your mobile phone. Some design considerations for the contest are as follows.

Our Design: The PURE LiFe Generator
For our entry in the competition we will be designing the PURE LiFe (Portable User-Friendly Renewable Energy Lithium Iron phosphate) Generator. A portable solar powered generator with mobile app connectivity. A solar powered generator replaces a traditional gasoline generator with a solar panel and battery bank to harvest and store energy that can be used to provide power at an off-grid location. App connectivity will provide the user with important information such as battery charge level, power generation, and power consumption. The app will also relay information to pvoutput.org a free online service for storing, graphing, and analyzing solar panel output data.
